Job Description

Join Golden Apple Transport, LLC as a Roll Off Truck Driver, operating a company-owned truck and servicing customers in a fast-paced industrial environment. As a primary customer contact, you will help keep service safe and reliable by following assigned routes, positioning containers safely, and coordinating with Dispatch and Management. This role is ideal for an experienced roll off driver who communicates professionally, solves problems, and stays calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company-owned roll off truck in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and applicable local, state, and federal requirements and company safety standards.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections using a Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR), document issues for repair, and maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Follow assigned routes and service schedules, use a phone app for dispatching and routing, and complete end-of-route documentation.
• Position containers on customer property without blocking driveway entrances or traffic.
• Report unsafe conditions to Dispatch or Management before attempting service. Promptly report accidents, injuries, incidents, and property damage.
• Keep Dispatch or Management informed of blocked containers, potential missed pickups, route problems, and customer requests or concerns.
• Provide clear, professional customer communication and assist other company drivers as directed.
• Participate in required training, briefings, and meetings.

Qualifications

• At least two years of roll off driving experience.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and age 21 or older.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical.
• Ability to use a phone app for dispatching and routing.
• Customer-focused communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach throughout the shift, and lift up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
